Cabo Raso Lighthouse - Cascais - Portugal
Built in S. Braz Fort, the Lighthouse of Cabo Raso became operational on January 1, 1894, thus completing 120 years of existence this year.
For economic reasons, the luminaire was placed on a slab positioned in front of one of the lighthouse keeper's house windows, and, after use, was taken into the room via a mobile carriage which was based on rails.
In 1914, the lighthouse now has a sound signal, in particular a compressed air horn, which forced the installation of engines groups and respective deposits in a room built for this purpose, whose layout still exists.
The following year, the light of the lighthouse was finally moved to the current red metal tower with 13 meters high.
